Parmesan Breadsticks

Parmesan Breadsticks

Kathy Thornburg

It's really very easy to make breadsticks out of pizza crust. Simply start by combining your mix, oil, and water. Then, divide your dough into small equal parts on a floured surface. Roll each ball into a long thin stick shape. You can choose how thick or thin you want your breadsticks. I decided to fold mine in half and gently twist them together to create a simple design.

Before putting my breadsticks in the oven, I generously brushed them with a mixture of melted butter, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, basil, and parsley. If you want to make your breadsticks from scratch, I recommend this recipe.

I used the same oven temperature mentioned on the back of the box, but just peeked at them every 5-10 minutes through the oven window to be sure I didn't burn them. Thick breadsticks will take a little longer to fully bake than thin breadsticks.

Serve these breadsticks with your favorite Italian dish for a dinner your family will love.
