Today we started a new series about the Bible! We decided to begin with a lunch about Joseph.
Top left- Tortilla shell, cheese, pretzels, and ham- Represents Joseph's dream that the sun, moon, and stars (his family) would bow down to him
Top right- Peppers and bowtie pasta- Colorful like the colorful robe Joseph's father gave him
Bottom- Grapes, pepperoni, carrots, pretzel, and Goldfish crackers- 7 grapes for the 7 years of plenty, an empty place with a number 7 for the 7 years of famine, and small carrot "coins" to remind us that Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery. Pretzel to be a shepherd's staff and Goldfish because they are colorful!
Read for yourself about Joseph starting in Genesis chapter 37 and following!
